What is NauhaDiary?
NauhaDiary is a digital home for nauha lyrics — a clean, simple platform built for anyone who has ever searched for lyrics mid-majlis, scrambled through WhatsApp messages to find a verse, or wished there was one reliable place to look.
We call it a bayaz — the small notebook that reciters and lovers of nauha have carried for generations. NauhaDiary is that notebook, digitized.
Why we built this
Every Muharram, millions of people search for nauha lyrics on their phones. What they find is scattered — buried in forums, poorly formatted, sometimes wrong, and almost never mobile-friendly.
We thought that was worth fixing.
There is a deeper reason too. So much of this poetry is disappearing. Classic marsiya and salaam sit misquoted across old forums, while the original nohay written by anjumans and their poets survive only as video clips — the recitation is everywhere, but the words themselves are searchable nowhere. Each Muharram a little more of that text is lost or rewritten by memory.
We wanted one dependable place where the words are correct, complete, and credited — to the poet who wrote them and the reciter who carries them — so a verse you find today reads the same in ten years, and so anyone searching for a nauha lyric can actually find it.
NauhaDiary is not a social network. It is not a music platform. It is not trying to be everything. It is one thing done well — a fast, clean, respectful place to find and read nauha lyrics.

Community driven
NauhaDiary grows because of contributions. If a nauha is missing, anyone can submit it. If you are a reciter and your work is here, you can claim your profile and own your collection. Every submission is reviewed before it goes live.
Anjumans & poets
Some of the most cherished nohay are never recorded — they are written by an anjuman’s own poets and recited in majlis, living only as video with the words findable nowhere. NauhaDiary is where those words are kept: written once, credited to the poet who wrote them, and to the anjuman that carries them.
An anjuman — an organized group of nauha reciters — can create its own page: an identity, a roster of reciters, upcoming and past majalis, and a booking link. You can browse anjumans by city and name and discover the nohay, poets and events tied to each one. Every original nauha an anjuman contributes becomes searchable on Google, permanently archived, and credited to the group and the poet who wrote it.
None of this changes the reading experience. If you came for a lyric, that is all you will see — clean and fast. The community layer stays quiet until you go looking for it.
