An invocation from the Ashura devotions (part of Dua Alqamah, recited after Ziyarat-e-Ashura), calling upon Allah by His attributes.
Yā Allāhu yā Allāhu yā Allāh
O Allah, O Allah, O Allah,
yā mujība daʿwati al-muḍṭarrīn
O Answerer of the call of the distressed,
yā kāshifa kurabi al-makrūbīn
O Reliever of the anguish of the grief-stricken,
yā ghiyātha al-mustaghīthīn
O Succour of those who seek succour,
yā ṣarīkha al-mustaṣrikhīn
O Responder to those who cry out,
wa yā man huwa aqrabu ilayya min ḥabli al-warīd
O He who is nearer to me than my jugular vein,
wa yā man yaḥūlu bayna al-marʾi wa qalbih
O He who comes between a person and his (own) heart,
asʾaluka an tuṣalliya ʿalā Muḥammadin wa āli Muḥammad
I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.
