A supplication taught by Archangel Gabriel to the Holy Prophet (s)
Sayyid Ibn Tawus, in Muhaj al-Da'awat, narrates from Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (a) that Archangel Gabriel came to the Holy Prophet (s) and said: "O Prophet of Allah, I have never loved any prophet as much as I love you. So repeat the following supplication as often as you can."
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّكَ تَرَىٰ وَ لَا تُرَىٰ وَ اَنْتَ بِالْمَنْظَرِ الْاَعْلَىٰ
Allāhumma innaka tarā wa lā turā, wa anta bil-manẓari al-aʿlā
O Allah, You see and are not seen, and You are in the highest vantage.
وَ اِنَّ اِلَيْكَ الْمُنْتَهَىٰ وَ الرُّجْعَىٰ
wa inna ilayka al-muntahā wal-rujʿā
And to You is the ultimate end and the return.
وَ اِنَّ لَكَ الْآخِرَةَ وَ الْاُوْلَى
wa inna laka al-ākhirata wal-ūlā
And to You belong the Hereafter and the former world.
وَ اِنَّ لَكَ الْمَمَاتَ وَ الْمَحْيَا
wa inna laka al-mamāta wal-maḥyā
And to You belong death and life.
وَ رَبِّ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ اَنْ اُذَلَّ اَوْ اُخْزَىٰ
wa rabbi aʿūdhu bika an udhalla aw ukhzā
And my Lord, I seek refuge in You from being disgraced or humiliated.
