A short supplication seeking good for all believers — the poor, the sick, the living, the deceased, and those who are far from home.
اِلَهِي بِحَقِّ مَنْ نَاجَاكَ وَ بِحَقِّ مَنْ دَعَاكَ فِي الْبَرِّ وَ الْبَحْرِ
Ilāhī bi-ḥaqqi man nājāk, wa bi-ḥaqqi man daʿāka fī al-barri wal-baḥr
My God, by the right of those who conversed intimately with You, and by the right of those who called upon You on land and sea,
صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammadin wa āli Muḥammad
send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,
وَ تَفَضَّلْ عَلَى فُقَرَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِالْغَنَاءِ وَ الثَّرْوَةِ
wa tafaḍḍal ʿalā fuqarāʾi al-muʾminīna wal-muʾmināti bil-ghanāʾi wal-tharwah
and graciously grant the poor believing men and women sufficiency and wealth,
وَ عَلَى مَرْضَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِالشِّفَاءِ وَ الصِّحَّةِ
wa ʿalā marḍā al-muʾminīna wal-muʾmināti bil-shifāʾi wal-ṣiḥḥah
and the sick believing men and women, healing and health,
وَ عَلَى اَحْيَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِاللُّطْفِ وَ الْكَرَمِ
wa ʿalā aḥyāʾi al-muʾminīna wal-muʾmināti bil-luṭfi wal-karam
and the living believing men and women, kindness and generosity,
وَ عَلَى اَمْوَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِالْمَغْفِرَةِ وَ الرَّحْمَةِ
wa ʿalā amwāti al-muʾminīna wal-muʾmināti bil-maghfirati wal-raḥmah
and the deceased believing men and women, forgiveness and mercy,
وَ عَلَى غُرَبَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِالرَّدِّ اِلَى اَوْطَانِهِمْ سَالِمِينَ غَانِمِينَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ اَجْمَعِينَ
wa ʿalā ghurabāʾi al-muʾminīna wal-muʾmināti bil-raddi ilā awṭānihim sālimīna ghānimīn, bi-Muḥammadin wa ālihi ajmaʿīn
and the believing men and women far from home, a safe and successful return to their homelands — by Muhammad and all his family.
