Eid-e-Zahra ( عیدِ زہرا ), celebrated on the 9th of Rabi' al-Awwal in the Islamic calendar, is a joyous occasion for Shia Muslims . It marks the end of the two-month mourning period of Muharram and Safar, the beginning of the imamate of the twelfth Imam, and is traditionally observed as a day of happiness honoring Lady Fatima al-Zahra.
