8th Shawwāl is regarded as Yaum -e- Gham (Day of Sorrow) as this was the day when the mausoleums in Jannat al-Baqi (Madina) were demolished by King Ibn Saud (la). This is the graveyard where the beloved daughter of the Holy Prophet (s), Lady Fatema al-Zahra (sa), her son -Imam Hasan ibn Ali (﵇), Imam Ali ibn al-Husayn (﵇), Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (﵇), and Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (﵇) are buried.
