Ziyarat-e-Ashura

اَعْظَمَ اللهُ اُجُوْرَنَا وَاُجُوْرَكُمْ بِمُصَابِنَا بِالْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَجَعَلَنَا وَاِيَّاكُمْ مِنَ الطَّالِبِيْنَ بِثَارِهِ مَعَ وَلِيِّهِ الْاِمَامِ الْمَهْدِىِّ مِنْ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ

Aʿẓama Allāhu ujūranā wa ujūrakum bi-muṣābinā bil-Ḥusayni ʿalayhi al-salām, wa jaʿalanā wa iyyākum mina al-ṭālibīna bi-thārihi maʿa waliyyihi al-imāmi al-Mahdiyyi min āli Muḥammadin ʿalayhim al-salām

May Allah make great our rewards and yours through our grief for al-Husayn (peace be upon him), and place us and you among those who seek vengeance for him alongside His friend, the Imam al-Mahdi from the family of Muhammad (peace be upon them).

اللہ ہمارے اور تمہارے اجر کو امام حسینؑ کے غم میں عظیم کرے، اور ہمیں اور تمہیں ان کے خون کا بدلہ لینے والوں میں سے قرار دے، ان کے ولی امام مہدیؑ آلِ محمدؑ کے ہمراہ۔

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَاۤ اَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ

Assalāmu ʿalayka yā Abā ʿAbdillāh

Peace be upon you, O Aba Abdillah,

سلام ہو آپ پر، اے ابا عبد اللہ،

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ رَسُوْلِ الله

Assalāmu ʿalayka yā-bna Rasūlillāh

peace be upon you, O son of the Messenger of Allah,

سلام ہو آپ پر، اے فرزندِ رسول اللہ،

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ اَمِيْرِ المُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَ ابْنَ سَيِدِ الْوَصِيِّيْنَ

Assalāmu ʿalayka yā-bna Amīr al-Muʾminīna wa-bna sayyidi al-waṣiyyīn

peace be upon you, O son of the Commander of the Faithful and son of the master of the executors (of the prophets),

سلام ہو آپ پر، اے فرزندِ امیر المومنینؑ اور سیدِ اوصیاؑ کے فرزند،

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ فَاطِمَةَ سَيِدَةِ نِسَاۤءِ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

Assalāmu ʿalayka yā-bna Fāṭimata sayyidati nisāʾi al-ʿālamīn

peace be upon you, O son of Fatima, mistress of the women of the worlds,

سلام ہو آپ پر، اے فاطمہؑ کے فرزند جو جہانوں کی عورتوں کی سردار ہیں،

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ثَارَ اللهِ وَ ابْنَ ثَارِهَ وَالْوِتْرَ الْمَوْتُوْرَ

Assalāmu ʿalayka yā thārallāhi wa-bna thārihi wal-witral-mawtūr

peace be upon you, O blood of Allah and son of His blood, the unavenged one whose kin were slain.

سلام ہو آپ پر، اے خونِ خدا اور اس کے خون کے فرزند، اے وہ جس کا انتقام باقی ہے۔

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَ عَلَي الْاَرْوَاحِ الَّتِيْ حَلَّتْ بِفِنَاۤئِكَ

Assalāmu ʿalayka wa ʿalā al-arwāḥi allatī ḥallat bi-fināʾik

Peace be upon you and upon the souls that came to rest in your courtyard.

سلام ہو آپ پر اور اُن روحوں پر جو آپ کے آستانے پر قربان ہوئیں۔

عَلَيْكُمْ مِنِّيْ جَمِيْعًا سَلَامُ اللهِ اَبَدًا مَا بَقِيْتُ وَ بَقِيَ اللَّيْلُ وَ النَّهَارُ

ʿalaykum minnī jamīʿan salāmullāhi abadan mā baqītu wa baqiya al-laylu wal-nahār

Upon you all, from me, be the peace of Allah forever, so long as I remain and so long as night and day remain.

تم سب پر میری طرف سے اللہ کا سلام ہو ہمیشہ، جب تک میں رہوں اور رات دن باقی رہیں۔

يَاۤ اَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ لَقَدْ عَظُمَتِ الرَّزِيَّةُ وَ جَلَّتْ وَ عَظُمَتِ الْمُصِيْبَةُ بِكَ عَلَيْنَا وَ عَلٰي جَمِيْعِ اَهْلِ الْاِسْلَامِ

yā Abā ʿAbdillāh, laqad ʿaẓumati al-raziyyatu wa jallat, wa ʿaẓumati al-muṣībatu bika ʿalaynā wa ʿalā jamīʿi ahli al-islām

O Aba Abdillah, grievous and tremendous is the calamity, and great is the affliction of your loss upon us and upon all the people of Islam.

اے ابا عبد اللہ! مصیبت بہت بڑی اور عظیم ہے، اور آپ کی مصیبت ہم پر اور تمام اہلِ اسلام پر بہت بھاری ہے۔

وَ جَلَّتْ وَ عَظُمَتْ مُصِيْبَتُكَ فِيْ السَّمٰوَاتِ عَلٰي جَمِيْعِ اَهْلِ السَّمٰوَاتِ

wa jallat wa ʿaẓumat muṣībatuka fī al-samāwāti ʿalā jamīʿi ahli al-samāwāt

And tremendous and great is your affliction in the heavens, upon all the dwellers of the heavens.

اور آپ کی مصیبت آسمانوں میں تمام آسمان والوں پر بھی بہت عظیم ہے۔

فَلَعَنَ اللهُ اُمَّةً اَسَّسَتْ اَسَاسَ الظُّلْمِ وَ الجَوْرِ عَلَيْكُمْ اَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ

fa-laʿana Allāhu ummatan assasat asāsa al-ẓulmi wal-jawri ʿalaykum ahla al-bayt

May Allah curse the people who laid the foundation of oppression and injustice against you, O People of the House.

پس اللہ اُس گروہ پر لعنت کرے جس نے تم اہلِ بیت پر ظلم و ستم کی بنیاد رکھی۔

وَلَعَنَ اللهُ اُمَّةً دَفَعَتْكُمْ عَنْ مَقَامِكُمْ وَ اَزَالَتْكُمْ عَنْ مَرَاتِبِكُمُ الَّتِيْ رَتَّبَكُمُ اللهُ فِيْهَا

wa laʿana Allāhu ummatan dafaʿatkum ʿan maqāmikum wa azālatkum ʿan marātibikumu allatī rattabakumu Allāhu fīhā

And may Allah curse the people who drove you from your rightful station and removed you from the ranks Allah had ordained for you.

اور اللہ اُس گروہ پر لعنت کرے جس نے تمہیں تمہارے مقام سے ہٹایا اور اُن مرتبوں سے دور کیا جو اللہ نے تمہارے لیے مقرر کیے تھے۔

وَ لَعَنَ اللهُ اُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكُمْ وَ لَعَنَ اللهُ الْمُمَهِّدِيْنَ لَهُمْ بِالتَّمْكِيْنِ مِنْ قِتَالِكُمْ

wa laʿana Allāhu ummatan qatalatkum, wa laʿana Allāhu al-mumahhidīna lahum bil-tamkīni min qitālikum

And may Allah curse the people who killed you, and may Allah curse those who paved the way for them by enabling your slaughter.

اور اللہ اُس گروہ پر لعنت کرے جس نے تمہیں قتل کیا، اور اللہ اُن پر بھی لعنت کرے جنہوں نے تمہارے قتل کے اسباب فراہم کیے۔

بَرِئْتُ اِلَي اللهِ وَ اِلَيْكُمْ مِنْهُمْ وَ اَشْيَاعِهِمْ وَ اَتْبَاعِهِمْ وَ اَوْلِيَاۤئِهِمْ

bariʾtu ilā Allāhi wa ilaykum minhum wa ashyāʿihim wa atbāʿihim wa awliyāʾihim

I disassociate myself, before Allah and before you, from them, their partisans, their followers, and their friends.

میں اللہ اور تمہارے حضور اُن سے، اُن کے ہمنواؤں، پیروکاروں اور دوستوں سے بیزاری کا اظہار کرتا ہوں۔

يَاۤ اَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ اِنِّيْ سِلْمٌ لِمَنْ سَالَمَكُمْ وَ حَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حَارَبَكُمْ اِلٰي يَوْمِ الْقِيٰمَةِ

yā Abā ʿAbdillāh, innī silmun liman sālamakum wa ḥarbun liman ḥārabakum ilā yawmi al-qiyāmah

O Aba Abdillah, I am at peace with those at peace with you and at war with those who war against you, until the Day of Resurrection.

اے ابا عبد اللہ! میں اُس سے صلح رکھتا ہوں جو تم سے صلح رکھے اور اُس سے جنگ رکھتا ہوں جو تم سے جنگ کرے، قیامت تک۔

وَ لَعَنَ اللهُ اٰلَ زِيَادٍ وَ اٰلَ مَرْوَانَ وَلَعَنَ اللهُ بَنِيۤ اُمَيَّةَ قَاطِبَةً

wa laʿana Allāhu āla Ziyādin wa āla Marwān, wa laʿana Allāhu banī Umayyata qāṭibah

And may Allah curse the family of Ziyad and the family of Marwan, and may Allah curse the Banu Umayya, all of them.

اور اللہ آلِ زیاد اور آلِ مروان پر لعنت کرے، اور بنی امیہ سب پر لعنت کرے۔

وَ لَعَنَ اللهُ بْنَ مَرْجَانَةَ وَ لَعَنَ اللهُ عُمَرَبْنَ سَعْدٍ وَ لَعَنَ اللهُ شِمْرًا

wa laʿana Allāhu-bna Marjānah, wa laʿana Allāhu ʿUmara-bna Saʿd, wa laʿana Allāhu Shimrā

And may Allah curse Ibn Marjana, and may Allah curse Umar ibn Sa'd, and may Allah curse Shimr.

اور اللہ ابنِ مرجانہ پر لعنت کرے، اور عمر بن سعد پر لعنت کرے، اور شمر پر لعنت کرے۔

وَلَعَنَ اللهُ اُمَّةً اَسْرَجَتْ وَاَلْجَمَتْ وَ تَنَقَّبَتْ لِقِتَالِكَ

wa laʿana Allāhu ummatan asrajat wa aljamat wa tanaqqabat li-qitālik

And may Allah curse the people who saddled and bridled (their horses) and masked themselves to fight you.

اور اللہ اُس گروہ پر لعنت کرے جس نے تمہارے خلاف لڑنے کے لیے (گھوڑوں پر) زینیں کسیں، لگامیں دیں اور مُنہ ڈھانپے۔

بِاَبِيۤ اَنْتَ وَ اُمِّيْ لَقَدْ عَظُمَ مُصَابِيْ بِكَ

bi-abī anta wa ummī, laqad ʿaẓuma muṣābī bik

May my father and mother be sacrificed for you; grievous indeed is my affliction over you.

میرے ماں باپ آپ پر قربان، آپ کی مصیبت میرے لیے بہت عظیم ہے۔

فَاَسْئَلُ اللهَ الَّذِيۤ اَكْرَمَ مَقَامَكَ وَ اَكْرَمَنِيْ اَنْ يَّرْزُقَنِيْ طَلَبَ ثَارِكَ مَعَ اِمَامٍ مَنْصُوْرٍ مِنْ اَهْلِ بَيْتِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ اٰلِهِ

fa-asʾalu Allāha alladhī akrama maqāmaka wa akramanī an yarzuqanī ṭalaba thārika maʿa imāmin manṣūrin min ahli bayti Muḥammadin ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa ālih

So I ask Allah, who has honoured your station and honoured me through you, to grant me the pursuit of your vengeance alongside a victorious Imam from the family of Muhammad (may Allah bless him and his family).

پس میں اُس اللہ سے سوال کرتا ہوں جس نے آپ کے مقام کو عزت دی اور مجھے بھی عزت بخشی کہ وہ مجھے آپ کے خون کا بدلہ لینے کی توفیق دے، آلِ محمدؐ میں سے ایک منصور امام کے ہمراہ۔

اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِيْ عِنْدَكَ وَجِيْهًا بِالْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فِيْ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْاٰخِرَةِ

Allāhumma-jʿalnī ʿindaka wajīhan bil-Ḥusayni ʿalayhi al-salām fī al-dunyā wal-ākhirah

O Allah, make me esteemed in Your sight through al-Husayn (peace be upon him), in this world and the Hereafter.

اے اللہ! مجھے اپنے نزدیک امام حسینؑ کے وسیلے سے دنیا و آخرت میں باعزت قرار دے۔

يَاۤ اَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ اِنِّيۤ اَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَي اللهِ وَ اِلٰي رَسُوْلِهِ وَ اِلٰيۤ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَ اِلٰي فَاطِمَةَ وَاِلَي الْحَسَنِ وَ اِلَيْكَ بِمُوَالَاتِكَ

yā Abā ʿAbdillāh, innī ataqarrabu ilā Allāhi wa ilā rasūlihi wa ilā Amīr al-Muʾminīna wa ilā Fāṭimata wa ilā al-Ḥasani wa ilayka bi-muwālātik

O Aba Abdillah, I seek nearness to Allah, to His Messenger, to the Commander of the Faithful, to Fatima, to al-Hasan, and to you through devotion to you,

اے ابا عبد اللہ! میں اللہ کی، اس کے رسول کی، امیر المومنینؑ کی، فاطمہؑ کی، حسنؑ کی اور آپ کی طرف آپ کی محبت کے ذریعے تقرب چاہتا ہوں،

وَ بِالْبَرَاۤئَةِ مِمَّنْ اَسَّسَ اَسَاسَ ذٰلِكَ وَ بَنٰي عَلَيْهِ بُنْيَانَهُ وَ جَرٰي فِيْ ظُلْمِهِ وَجَوْرِهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَ عَلٰيۤ اَشْيَاعِكُمْ

wa bil-barāʾati mimman assasa asāsa dhālika wa banā ʿalayhi bunyānah, wa jarā fī ẓulmihi wa jawrihi ʿalaykum wa ʿalā ashyāʿikum

and by disavowing the one who laid its foundation, built his edifice upon it, and persisted in his oppression and injustice against you and your followers.

اور اُس سے بیزاری کے ذریعے جس نے اِس (ظلم) کی بنیاد رکھی اور اُس پر اپنی عمارت کھڑی کی اور تم پر اور تمہارے پیروکاروں پر ظلم و ستم جاری رکھا۔

بَرِئْتُ اِلَي اللهِ وَ اِلَيْكُمْ مِنْهُمْ

bariʾtu ilā Allāhi wa ilaykum minhum

I disassociate myself, before Allah and before you, from them.

میں اللہ اور تمہارے حضور اُن سے بیزار ہوں۔

وَ اَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَي اللهِ ثُمَّ اِلَيْكُمْ بِمُوَالَاتِكُمْ وَ مُوَالَاةِ وَلِيِّكُمْ وَ بِالْبَرَاۤئَةِ مِنْ اَعْدَاۤئِكُمْ وَ النَّاصِبِيْنَ لَكُمُ الْحَرْبَ

wa ataqarrabu ilā Allāhi thumma ilaykum bi-muwālātikum wa muwālāti waliyyikum wa bil-barāʾati min aʿdāʾikum wal-nāṣibīna lakumu al-ḥarb

And I seek nearness to Allah, then to you, through devotion to you and to your friend, and through disavowal of your enemies and those who set up war against you,

اور میں اللہ کی، پھر تمہاری طرف تقرب چاہتا ہوں تمہاری محبت اور تمہارے ولی کی محبت کے ذریعے، اور تمہارے دشمنوں اور تم سے جنگ کرنے والوں سے بیزاری کے ذریعے،

وَبِالْبَرَاۤئَةِ مِنْ اَشيَاعِهمْ وَ اَتْبَاعِهِمْ

wa bil-barāʾati min ashyāʿihim wa atbāʿihim

and by disavowing their partisans and followers.

اور اُن کے ہمنواؤں اور پیروکاروں سے بیزاری کے ذریعے۔

اِنِّيْ سِلْمٌ لِمَنْ سَالَمَكُمْ وَ حَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حَارَبَكُمْ وَوَلِيٌّ لِمَنْ وَالَاكُمْ وَ عَدُوٌّ لِمَنْ عَادَاكُمْ

innī silmun liman sālamakum wa ḥarbun liman ḥārabakum, wa waliyyun liman wālākum wa ʿaduwwun liman ʿādākum

I am at peace with those at peace with you, at war with those at war with you, a friend to those who befriend you, and an enemy to those who show enmity to you.

میں اُس سے صلح رکھتا ہوں جو تم سے صلح رکھے، اور اُس سے جنگ جو تم سے جنگ کرے، اور اُس کا دوست جو تمہارا دوست ہو، اور اُس کا دشمن جو تمہارا دشمن ہو۔

فَاَسْئَلُ اللهَ الَّذِىۤ اَكْرَمَنِىْ بِمَعْرِفَتِكُمْ وَ مَعْرِفَةِ اَوْلِيَاۤئِكُمْ وَ رَزَقَنِى الْبَرَاۤئَةَ مِنْ اَعْدَاۤئِكُمْ اَنْ يَجْعَلَنِىْ مَعَكُمْ فِىْ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْاٰخِرَةِ

fa-asʾalu Allāha alladhī akramanī bi-maʿrifatikum wa maʿrifati awliyāʾikum wa razaqaniya al-barāʾata min aʿdāʾikum an yajʿalanī maʿakum fī al-dunyā wal-ākhirah

So I ask Allah, who honoured me with knowing you and knowing your friends and granted me disavowal of your enemies, to place me with you in this world and the Hereafter,

پس میں اُس اللہ سے سوال کرتا ہوں جس نے مجھے تمہاری اور تمہارے دوستوں کی معرفت سے عزت دی اور تمہارے دشمنوں سے بیزاری عطا کی، کہ وہ مجھے دنیا و آخرت میں تمہارے ساتھ رکھے،

وَ اَنْ يُّثَبِّتَ لِىْ عِنْدَ كُمْ قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ فِىْ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْاٰخِرَةِ

wa an yuthabbita lī ʿindakum qadama ṣidqin fī al-dunyā wal-ākhirah

and to establish for me, with you, a firm footing of truth in this world and the Hereafter.

اور یہ کہ وہ میرے لیے تمہارے پاس دنیا و آخرت میں سچائی کا مقام ثابت کرے۔

وَ اَسْئَلُهُ اَنْ يُّبَلِّغَنِىَ الْمَقَامَ الْمَحْمُوْدَ لَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللهِ

wa asʾaluhu an yuballighaniya al-maqāma al-maḥmūda lakum ʿinda Allāh

And I ask Him to make me attain the praiseworthy station you hold with Allah,

اور میں اُس سے سوال کرتا ہوں کہ وہ مجھے اُس مقامِ محمود تک پہنچائے جو اللہ کے نزدیک تمہارے لیے ہے،

وَ اَنْ يَّرْزُقَنِىْ طَلَبَ ثَارِىْ مَعَ اِمَامٍ هُدًى ظَاهِرٍ نَاطِقٍ بِالْحَقِّ مِنْكُمْ

wa an yarzuqanī ṭalaba thārī maʿa imāmin hudan ẓāhirin nāṭiqin bil-ḥaqqi minkum

and to grant me the pursuit of my vengeance alongside a guiding Imam — manifest, speaking the truth — from among you.

اور یہ کہ وہ مجھے اپنے خون کا بدلہ لینے کی توفیق دے، تم میں سے ایک ہدایت کرنے والے، ظاہر اور حق کہنے والے امام کے ہمراہ۔

وَ اَسْئَلُ اللهَ بِحَقِّكُمْ وَ بِالشَّاْنِ الَّذِىْ لَكُمْ عِنْدَهٗ اَنْ يُّعْطِيَنِىْ بِمُصَابِىْ بِكُمْ اَفْضَلَ مَا يُعْطِىْ مُصَابًا بِمُصِيْبَتِهٖ

wa asʾalu Allāha bi-ḥaqqikum wa bil-shaʾni alladhī lakum ʿindahu an yuʿṭiyanī bi-muṣābī bikum afḍala mā yuʿṭī muṣāban bi-muṣībatih

And I ask Allah, by your right and by the rank you hold with Him, to grant me for my grief over you the best He grants any afflicted person for his affliction —

اور میں اللہ سے تمہارے حق اور اُس مرتبے کے واسطے سے جو اُس کے نزدیک تمہارے لیے ہے، سوال کرتا ہوں کہ وہ مجھے تمہارے غم پر وہ بہترین اجر دے جو وہ کسی مصیبت زدہ کو اُس کی مصیبت پر دیتا ہے —

مُصِيْبَةً مَاۤ اَعْظَمَهَا وَ اَعْظَمَ رَزِيَّتَهَا فِىْ الْاِسْلَامِ وَ فِىْ جَمِيْعِ اَھْلِ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ

muṣībatan mā aʿẓamahā wa aʿẓama raziyyatahā fī al-islāmi wa fī jamīʿi ahli al-samāwāti wal-arḍ

an affliction — how tremendous it is, and how tremendous its calamity in Islam and among all the dwellers of the heavens and the earth.

ایسی مصیبت کہ جو کتنی عظیم ہے اور اسلام میں اور تمام آسمانوں و زمین والوں میں اُس کا سانحہ کتنا بڑا ہے۔

اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِىْ فِىْ مَقَامِىْ هٰذَا مِمَّنْ تَنَالُهُ مِنْكَ صَلَوَاتٌ وَ رَحْمَةٌ وَ مَغْفِرَةٌ

Allāhumma-jʿalnī fī maqāmī hādhā mimman tanāluhu minka ṣalawātun wa raḥmatun wa maghfirah

O Allah, make me, in this station of mine, among those who receive from You blessings, mercy, and forgiveness.

اے اللہ! مجھے میرے اِس مقام میں اُن لوگوں میں سے قرار دے جنہیں تیری طرف سے درود، رحمت اور مغفرت نصیب ہو۔

اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْ مَحْيَاىَ مَحْيَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَ مَمَاتِىْ مَمَاتَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Allāhumma-jʿal maḥyāya maḥyā Muḥammadin wa āli Muḥammad, wa mamātī mamāta Muḥammadin wa āli Muḥammad

O Allah, make my life the life of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and my death the death of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.

اے اللہ! میری زندگی کو محمدؐ و آلِ محمدؐ کی زندگی اور میری موت کو محمدؐ و آلِ محمدؐ کی موت جیسی بنا دے۔

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّ هٰذَا يَوْمٌ تَبَرَّكَتْ بِهٖ بَنُوْ اُمَيَّةَ وَابْنُ اٰكِلَةِ الْاَكْبَادِ اللَّعِيْنُ ابْنُ اللَّعِيْنِ عَلٰى لِسَانِكَ وَ لِسَانِ نَبِيِّكَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ فِىْ كُلِّ مَوْطِنٍ وَ مَوْقِفٍ وَ قَفَ فِيْهِ نَبِيُّكَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ اٰلِهٖ

Allāhumma inna hādhā yawmun tabarrakat bihi Banū Umayyata wa-bnu ākilati al-akbād, al-laʿīnu-bnu al-laʿīni ʿalā lisānika wa lisāni nabiyyika ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa ālihi fī kulli mawṭinin wa mawqifin waqafa fīhi nabiyyuka ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa ālih

O Allah, this is a day on which the Banu Umayya rejoiced — and the son of the liver-eater, the accursed, son of the accursed on Your tongue and the tongue of Your Prophet (may Allah bless him and his family) in every place and station in which Your Prophet stood.

اے اللہ! یہ وہ دن ہے جس پر بنی امیہ اور کلیجہ کھانے والی کا بیٹا خوش ہوا، وہ ملعون بن ملعون جو تیری زبان پر اور تیرے نبیؐ کی زبان پر ہر اُس جگہ اور مقام پر (ملعون ٹھہرا) جہاں تیرا نبیؐ کھڑا ہوا۔

اَللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنْ اَبَا سُفْيَانَ وَ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَ يَزِيْدَ بْنَ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْكَ اللَّعْنَةُ اَبَدَ الْاٰبِدِيْنَ

Allāhumma-lʿan Abā Sufyāna wa Muʿāwiyata wa Yazīda-bna Muʿāwiyah, ʿalayhim minka al-laʿnatu abada al-ābidīn

O Allah, curse Abu Sufyan, Mu'awiya, and Yazid ibn Mu'awiya; upon them be Your curse for all eternity.

اے اللہ! ابو سفیان، معاویہ اور یزید بن معاویہ پر لعنت کر، اُن پر تیری لعنت ہو ہمیشہ ہمیشہ۔

وَ هٰذَا يَوْمٌ فَرِحَتْ بِهٖ اٰلُ زِيَادٍ وَ اٰلُ مَرْوَانَ بِقَتْلِهِمُ الْحُسَيْنَ صَلَوٰاتُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ

wa hādhā yawmun fariḥat bihi ālu Ziyādin wa ālu Marwāna bi-qatlihimu al-Ḥusayna ṣalawātullāhi ʿalayh

And this is a day on which the family of Ziyad and the family of Marwan rejoiced at their killing of al-Husayn (the blessings of Allah be upon him).

اور یہ وہ دن ہے جس پر آلِ زیاد اور آلِ مروان امام حسینؑ کے قتل پر خوش ہوئے۔

اَللّٰهُمَّ فَضَاعِفْ عَلَيْهِمُ الَّعْنَ مِنْكَ وَ الْعَذَابَ الْاَلِيْمَ

Allāhumma fa-ḍāʿif ʿalayhimu al-laʿna minka wal-ʿadhāba al-alīm

O Allah, so multiply upon them Your curse and the painful punishment.

اے اللہ! پس اُن پر اپنی لعنت اور دردناک عذاب دوگنا کر دے۔

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىۤ اَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَيْكَ فِىْ هٰذَا الْيَوْمِ وَ فِىْ مَوْقِفِىْ هٰذَا وَ اَيَّامِ حَيٰوتِىْ بِالْبَرَاۤئَةِ مِنْهُمْ وَ اللَّعْنَةِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَ بِاالْمُوَالَاتِ لِنَبِيِّكَ وَ اٰلِ نَبِيِّكَ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ

Allāhumma innī ataqarrabu ilayka fī hādhā al-yawmi wa fī mawqifī hādhā wa ayyāmi ḥayātī bil-barāʾati minhum wal-laʿnati ʿalayhim, wa bil-muwālāti li-nabiyyika wa āli nabiyyika ʿalayhi wa ʿalayhimu al-salām

O Allah, I seek nearness to You on this day, in this station of mine, and throughout the days of my life, by disavowing them and cursing them, and by devotion to Your Prophet and the family of Your Prophet (peace be upon him and upon them).

اے اللہ! میں اِس دن، اپنے اِس مقام میں اور اپنی زندگی کے تمام دنوں میں تیری طرف تقرب چاہتا ہوں، اُن سے بیزاری اور اُن پر لعنت کے ذریعے، اور تیرے نبیؐ اور تیرے نبیؐ کی آلؑ کی محبت کے ذریعے۔

اَللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنْ اَوَّلَ ظَالِمٍ ظَلَمَ حَقَّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَ اٰخِرَ تَابِعٍ لَهٗ عَلٰى ذٰلِكَ اَللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنِ الْعِصَابَةَ الَّتِىْ جَاهَدَتِ الْحُسَيْنَ وَ شَايَعَتْ وَ بَايَعَتْ وَ تَابَعَتْ عَلٰى قَتْلِهٖ، اَللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنْهُمْ جَمِيْعًا

Allāhumma-lʿan awwala ẓālimin ẓalama ḥaqqa Muḥammadin wa āli Muḥammad, wa ākhira tābiʿin lahu ʿalā dhālik. Allāhumma-lʿani al-ʿiṣābata allatī jāhadati al-Ḥusayna wa shāyaʿat wa bāyaʿat wa tābaʿat ʿalā qatlih. Allāhumma-lʿanhum jamīʿā

O Allah, curse the first tyrant who wronged the right of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and the last who followed him in that. O Allah, curse the band that fought al-Husayn and those who sided with, pledged to, and followed one another in his killing. O Allah, curse them all.

اے اللہ! اُس پہلے ظالم پر لعنت کر جس نے محمدؐ و آلِ محمدؐ کے حق پر ظلم کیا، اور اُس آخری شخص پر بھی جو اِس میں اُس کے پیچھے چلا۔ اے اللہ! اُس گروہ پر لعنت کر جس نے حسینؑ سے جنگ کی، اور اُس کے قتل پر ایک دوسرے کی حمایت، بیعت اور پیروی کی۔ اے اللہ! اُن سب پر لعنت کر۔

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَاۤ اَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ وَ عَلَى الْاَرْوَاحِ الَّتِىْ حَلَّتْ بِفِنَاۤئِكَ عَلَيْكَ مِنِّىْ سَلَامُ اللهِ اَبَدًا مَّا بَقِيْتُ وَ بَقِيَ اللَّيْلُ وَ النَّهَارُ وَ لَا جَعَلَهُ اللهُ اٰخِرَ الْعَهْدِ مِنِّىْ لِزِيَارَتِكُمْ، اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى الْحُسَيْنِ وَ عَلٰى عَلِىِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ عَلٰى اَوْلَادِ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ عَلٰى اَصْحَابِ الْحُسَيْنِ

Assalāmu ʿalayka yā Abā ʿAbdillāh wa ʿalā al-arwāḥi allatī ḥallat bi-fināʾik. ʿalayka minnī salāmullāhi abadan mā baqītu wa baqiya al-laylu wal-nahār, wa lā jaʿalahu Allāhu ākhira al-ʿahdi minnī li-ziyāratikum. Assalāmu ʿalā al-Ḥusayn, wa ʿalā ʿAliyyi-bni al-Ḥusayn, wa ʿalā awlādi al-Ḥusayn, wa ʿalā aṣḥābi al-Ḥusayn

Peace be upon you, O Aba Abdillah, and upon the souls that came to rest in your courtyard. Upon you, from me, be the peace of Allah forever, so long as I remain and night and day remain; and may Allah not make this the last of my visitations to you. Peace be upon al-Husayn, upon Ali ibn al-Husayn, upon the children of al-Husayn, and upon the companions of al-Husayn.

سلام ہو آپ پر اے ابا عبد اللہ، اور اُن روحوں پر جو آپ کے آستانے پر قربان ہوئیں۔ آپ پر میری طرف سے اللہ کا سلام ہو ہمیشہ، جب تک میں رہوں اور رات دن باقی رہیں؛ اور اللہ اِسے میری طرف سے آپ کی زیارت کا آخری موقع نہ بنائے۔ سلام ہو حسینؑ پر، علی بن الحسینؑ پر، اولادِ حسینؑ پر اور اصحابِ حسینؑ پر۔

اَللّٰهُمَّ خُصَّ اَنْتَ اَوَّلَ ظَالِمٍ بِاللَّعْنِ مِنِّىْ وَابْدَاْ بِهٖ اَوَّلًا ثُمَّ الثَّانِيْ وَ الثَّالِثَ وَ الرَّابِعَ اَللّٰهُمَّ الْعَنْ يَزِيْدَ خَامِسًا وَ الْعَنْ عُبَيْدَ اللهِ بْنَ زِيَادٍ وَابْنَ مَرْجَانَةَ وَ عُمَرَبْنَ سَعْدٍ وَ شِمْرًا وَ اٰلَ اَبِيْ سُفْيَانَ وَ اٰلَ زِيَادٍ وَ اٰلَ مَرْوَانَ اِلىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ

Allāhumma khuṣṣa anta awwala ẓālimin bil-laʿni minnī wa-bdaʾ bihi awwalan thumma al-thāniya wal-thālitha wal-rābiʿ. Allāhumma-lʿan Yazīda khāmisan, wa-lʿan ʿUbaydallāhi-bna Ziyādin wa-bna Marjānata wa ʿUmara-bna Saʿdin wa Shimrā, wa āla Abī Sufyāna wa āla Ziyādin wa āla Marwāna ilā yawmi al-qiyāmah

O Allah, single out the first tyrant for my curse, and begin with him first, then the second, the third, and the fourth. O Allah, curse Yazid fifth, and curse Ubaydullah ibn Ziyad, Ibn Marjana, Umar ibn Sa'd, and Shimr, and the family of Abu Sufyan, the family of Ziyad, and the family of Marwan until the Day of Resurrection.

اے اللہ! پہلے ظالم کو خاص طور پر میری لعنت کا نشانہ بنا اور اُسی سے ابتدا کر، پھر دوسرے، تیسرے اور چوتھے کو۔ اے اللہ! پانچویں یزید پر لعنت کر، اور عبید اللہ بن زیاد، ابنِ مرجانہ، عمر بن سعد اور شمر پر، اور آلِ ابی سفیان، آلِ زیاد اور آلِ مروان پر قیامت تک لعنت کر۔

اَللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ حَمْدَ الشَّاكِرِيْنَ لَكَ عَلٰى مُصَابِهِمْ اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ عَلٰى عَظِيْمِ رَزِيَّتِىْ

Allāhumma laka al-ḥamdu ḥamda al-shākirīna laka ʿalā muṣābihim. al-ḥamdu lillāhi ʿalā ʿaẓīmi raziyyatī

O Allah, to You is praise, the praise of those grateful to You, for their affliction. Praise be to Allah for the greatness of my calamity.

اے اللہ! تیرے ہی لیے حمد ہے، شکر گزاروں کی حمد، اُن کی مصیبت پر۔ تمام تعریف اللہ کے لیے میری عظیم مصیبت پر۔

اَللّٰهَمَّ ارْزُقْنِىْ شَفَاعَةَ الْحُسَيْنِ يَوْمَ الْوُرُوْدِ وَ ثَبِّتْ لِىْ قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ عِنْدَكَ مَعَ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ اَصْحَابِ الْحُسَيْنِ، الَّذِيْنَ بَذَلُوْا مُهَجَهُمْ دُوْنَ الْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ

Allāhumma-rzuqnī shafāʿata al-Ḥusayni yawma al-wurūd, wa thabbit lī qadama ṣidqin ʿindaka maʿa al-Ḥusayni wa aṣḥābi al-Ḥusayn, alladhīna badhalū muhajahum dūna al-Ḥusayni ʿalayhi al-salām

O Allah, grant me the intercession of al-Husayn on the Day of Arrival before You, and establish for me a firm footing of truth with You, alongside al-Husayn and the companions of al-Husayn, who gave their lifeblood for al-Husayn (peace be upon him).

اے اللہ! مجھے قیامت کے دن حسینؑ کی شفاعت نصیب فرما، اور اپنے پاس میرے لیے سچائی کا مقام ثابت کر، حسینؑ اور اصحابِ حسینؑ کے ہمراہ، جنہوں نے حسینؑ کی راہ میں اپنی جانیں قربان کیں۔
